Why is it so important to stay hydrated?

Your body depends on water for survival. Did you know that water makes up more two thirds of your body weight? Every cell, tissue and organ in your body needs water to function correctly. For example, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste and lubricate joints. Water is essential for good health.

Why is hydration so important?

When you don’t have enough water in your body, your cells start to draw water from the bloodstream. Your heart has to work harder because your blood gets sludgy, and your body starts to redirect blood away from less vital areas. Dehydration can set in even before you start to feel thirsty. This is a great strain on the body because it impairs the kidneys in their vital function of purifying the blood and helping the body get rid of toxins.

What Is the Difference Between Reverse Osmosis Water & Filtered Water?

The main difference between reverse osmosis (RO) and filtered water is the techniques used to make water clean. Filtered water removes contaminants using physical barriers or chemical processes. RO removes impurities by forcing water under pressure to a membrane. However, good methods as used by HappyWater is combing RO and filters to archive perfect results.

What you should know about water

My grandparents are very old and always drank tap water or cooked water, why are we now told to drink Bottled Water?

The fact is that today in our industrialized society, we use over 75,000 toxic chemicals, and over 1000 new ones are developed each year. We have learned the hard way that any chemical we use will eventually wind up in the water we drink. There is no “new water,” our planet just keeps reusing and recycling the same water over and over. Our water-treatment plants are not designed to remove these synthetic chemicals, and as a result we find traces of health threatening contaminants in many public water supplies worldwide.

70 years ago, before we had this multitude of chemical compounds in our environment, 1 in 50 people could expect to get cancer in his or her life time, today, 1 in 3 Americans, 1 in 2 males, will become cancer statistics! Cancer is almost completely preventable. The purity of our drinking water is one of the most important factors for the prevention of degenerative disease. With the risk so great and the solution so simple, why take the chance?

Is there a easy way to determine that I drink enough water?

Actually, there is an easy was by monitoring the colour of your urine. A good way to tell if you’re drinking enough water is the colour of your urine. If it’s a dark orange colour or like the colour of apple juice, you’re not drinking enough water. (This only works if you are not taking a vitamin B supplement which can also make your urine yellow). The colour of your urine should be more like lemonade. If your urine is clear like water, that’s even better. That way, you know that you are fully hydrated.

Is it save to drink Reverse Osmosis Water?

RO systems are very effective in removing bad minerals, waste, bacteria, and other harmful material from the water. In addition good RO systems have also additional carbon-filters and nano-filters to pretreat the water and an Alkaline System to ensure the PH values are on a perfect level. However, Reverse Osmosis systems like any other system, need correct maintenance and are not a “set it and forget it” solution. Like with any filter technology, over time bacteria can grow in the membrane and filters, if the system is not monitored and if filters are not changed regularly the system could get contaminated. This is why it is best to choose the hassle-free solution, with HappyWater you know that your RO water is safe. HappyWater does monitor the water to ensure the delicious HappyWater is contaminant free.

Is it a good idea to purchase my own filter system for my drinking water?

This question comes up many times. Sure you can purchase efficient systems on the market, but do you have the instruments to ensure the system is right for your particular water source. The recommended way is to have your water analysed by a laboratory and then built a system to deal with the specific impurities the laboratory found in your water. In addition, any system requires constant monitoring of your filters to ensure you change the filter in time, there is no exact method because it depends upon the quality of your water source. If you wait too long to maintain your system, your water might be more contaminated after the filter process because bacteria have already multiplied in your filters and instead of removing contaminates it adds a whole new bunch in.

Why go through this whole expense and stress if you can have Quality Water conveniently delivered to your doorstep? This way you have peace of mind and can be sure that your family has clean water.

I heard that many Municipality Systems use RO filters, why should I buy HappyWater in the bottle?

This is a question that comes up many times. There is no concern that most Municipality Systems produce clean and healthy drinking water. However, the problem is that you do not go there to get your water in a bucket which means that the water needs to travel to you. While the water is on the way to your home, it goes through many kilometres of aging pipes, and even though it was very clean when it enters the pipe system, it will absorb contaminants on its way. Some of these pipes are maybe for generations in the ground and consist of many different materials depending on their age.

This means that even though very clean water is produced by the municipality systems it rarely arrives like this on your home after traveling through kilometres of pipe. Quality Bottled Water such as HappyWater is bottled directly after the sophisticated filter process and is then delivered to your doorstep, which means no contaminants can get in the water wile traveling to your door.

How does my body lose water?

You lose water each day when you go to the bathroom, sweat, and even when you breathe. You lose water even faster when the weather is really hot, when you exercise, or if you have a fever. Vomiting and diarrhea can also lead to rapid fluid loss. If you don’t replace the water you lose, you can become dehydrated.

How do I know if I am dehydrated?

Symptoms of dehydration include:

  • Little or no urine, or urine that is darker than usual
  • Dry mouth
  • Sleepiness or fatigue
  • Extreme thirst
  • Headache
  • Confusion
  • Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
  • No tears when crying

Don’t wait until you notice symptoms of dehydration to act. It can be hard to recognize when you’re dehydrated, especially as you age. Actively prevent dehydration by drinking plenty of water.

Does drinking water really help in a diet?

Drinking water is revving up your metabolism. There was a study recently published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism from a research centre in Berlin. It showed that people who consume two litres of water a day can burn up to an extra 150 calories per day. I know that doesn’t seem like much but that converts into about 5 lbs. per year of weight loss that you don’t even have to worry about because it’s being burned off by simply drinking more water.

Can beer, wine, coffee, tea, or soft drinks be figured into your water intake?

Unfortunately, these drinks are all diuretics (Diuretics are substances that reduce the amount of water in the body) and will actually leach the water out of your system. So Happy Water is still your best bet.
